چکیده

The oleaginous yeast Trichosporon fermentans can degrade oils and fats in soybean oil refinery effluent (SORE) accumulate intracellular lipids. Effective harvesting techniques for yeasts improve their utilization efficiency. Considering its excellent adhesion properties, Cunninghamella echinulata, a lipid-producing fungus, was introduced to harvest the SORE via two-step process. Compared with C. echinulata cultured traditional medium, namely, potato starch wastewater (PSW), produced from (SW) achieved better yeast, reaching 95.24%. Based on kinetic thermodynamic analysis, it found that are gathered by mycelium pellets of physical adsorption, process is controlled liquid film diffusion intraparticle diffusion. porosity these as high 79.3 ± 0.5%, which contributed significantly echinulata's ability adhere yeasts. However, when pH between 6 7, an electric neutralization effect responsible higher SW T. compared PSW. Because microbial lipids rich unsaturated fatty acids (UFAS), highest proportion UFAS reached 79.8% total extracted products. used yeasts, efficient represented cleaner improved quality

Enhancing the effect of soybean oil refinery byproducts on erythromycin production by Saccharopolyspora erythraea

Erythromycin production is clearly enhanced by the addition of vegetable oils. However, whether this positive effect is brought about by the triglyceride or non-triglyceride fraction, isnot clear. The non-triglyceride portions of the oils accumulate in the waste during the refiningprocess leaving mainly triglycerides in the refined oil. In this research, sub-fractions of soybeanoil, including le...

Soybean Oil Degumming by Immobilized Phospholipase A1

In the present study, we investigated the ability of an immobilized phospholipase A1 (PLA1) in degumming of soybean oil. The enzyme was immobilized by simple adsorption on bentonite without any further modification. The free and immobilized PLA1 were characterized by Fourier Transform InfraRed (FT-IR) spectroscopy and X-Ray Diffraction (XRD). The immobilizat...

Microbial conversion of milbemycins: hydroxylation of milbemycin A4 and related compounds by Cunninghamella echinulata ATCC 9244.

Many strains of zygomycetes and actinomycetes were found to convert milbemycin A4 (1a) to 13 beta-hydroxymilbemycin A4 (1b). Among these strains, Cunninghamella echinulata ATCC 9244 had the most efficient 13 beta-hydroxylation ability on milbemycins. In the conversion of milbemycin A3 (2a), 29-hydroxymilbemycin A4 (4a), and 30-hydroxymilbemycin A4 (5a) with this strain, only 13 beta-hydroxylate...

Microbial transformation of sesquiterpene lactones by the fungi cunninghamella echinulata and rhizopus oryzae

Incubations of the fungi Cunninghamella echinulata and Rhizopus oryzae with the sesquiterpene lactones (+)-costunolide (1), (+)-cnicin (2), (+)-salonitenolide (3), (-)-dehydrocostuslactone (4), (-)-lychnopholide (5), and (-)-eremantholide C (6) were perfomed. Incubation of 1 with C. echinulata afforded Delta11(13)-dihydrogenation and Delta1(10)-epoxidation products (7-10). C. echinulata also hy...

Effect of Crude Soybean Oil Sediment as a Substitute for Refined Soybean Oil in Broiler Diet

Four hundred fifty day old unsexed broiler chicks were used in a 35-day trial at Chittagong veterinary and animal sciences university farm to find out the effect of using crude soybean oil sediment (CSOS) as a substitute for refined soybean oil (RSO) in broiler diet. The experiment was carried out following completely randomized design. The chicks were randomly distributed in three treatment gr...
